Kanye West Hospitalized: Horrible Migraine Sends Kanye To Emergency Room

Kanye West was hospitalized for an excruciating headache while on tour in Australia. TMZ reports that West had an intense migraine that resulted in him being temporarily hospitalized, but he made a turnaround and was released when doctors determined it wasn’t serious.

TMZ reports that Australian news sources say the rapper suffered seizure-like symptoms, but they were told that’s untrue. He made his show at Laver Arena that same night and nothing seemed any different with the performer.

According to Woman’s Day Australia, Kanye was sent to Melbourne’s Epworth Hospital in Richmond where he underwent an emergency MRI just around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Witness, Loraine Terry, says nurses were forced to make other patients move out of the waiting room and consulting room so Kanye could be treated privately.

“My daughter was having an MRI. Shortly after it began, security burst in and cleared the area,” Terry tells Woman’s Day.

“Everyone was moved out of the waiting and consulting rooms. We were the only ones left apart from doctors and nurses – we couldn’t leave as the MRI wasn’t finished,” she continued.

Terry shares that security was surrounding Kanye West and it that his condition looked serious.

“Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security. He had one side of his face covered with something white. We both knew it was him because we had seen his photo in the paper everyday and we were shocked because it looked so serious.”

The witness says doctors were concerned that the 37-year-old suffered a seizure — or was about to; that’s when they ordered an emergency MRI. She reveals that everyone was “massively panicked” and that they were doing everything they could to make sure the “area was completely clear.”

Loraine Terry’s daughter was on the MRI machine when Kanye West was hospitalized. One of his security men allegedly insisted they go.

“At one stage, one of his security men saw my daughter, who was lying on the MRI machine, turn her head and he insisted she had to go. We weren’t even properly finished.”

Kanye was released about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. He performs Thursday and Saturday in Sydney. His final show in Australia will be in Brisbane on Monday. West is in the country for his Yeezus tour.

Kim Kardashian was reportedly nowhere to be seen during her husband’s health scare. She’s also in Australia, but apparently wasn’t nearby when Kanye had a medical emergency.
