Mariah Carey Headed To Rehab After Nick Cannon Split?
Mariah Carey is supposedly set to divorce her husband Nick Cannon, and new details about what might be going on between the two have surfaced. According to Radar Online, Mariah is having a very difficult time right now, and some worry that she is headed for a mental breakdown. A source said that Nick wanted his wife to go to rehab — she has allegedly developed a habit of “drinking champagne and taking anti-depressant pills.”
“Nick wanted Mariah to go to rehab. She has a different bond with Nick than any of the men she’s been with, and that’s why she’s taking this breakup even harder. She’s going to have a total breakdown if someone doesn’t intervene soon. She really needs help before she ends up in the hospital.”
This wouldn’t be the first time that Mariah was accused of being depressed, either. As Radar Online points out, Mariah went through what some people call depression (Mimi will tell you that she was just “exhausted”) and needed to take some time off back in 2011. As far as the public knows, Mariah didn’t go to rehab. She took some time to herself and was able to pull through on her own.
“I was totally exhausted and I needed to go to sleep and I needed rest and I needed people to leave me alone… It wasn’t like I went schizo and needed to be put in a straitjacket or tried to kill myself, what they were saying.”
This time, people wonder if Mariah will need to seek professional help. However, it’s not like Mimi is sitting in her luxurious condo, taking pills just to keep a smile on her face. According to People Magazine, Mariah has turned to music. The singer has been rehearsing for her upcoming “Elusive Chanteuse Tour.” She has also been writing a ton of new music which can also be therapeutic.
“I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans. I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!”
Mariah Carey has not made mention of a divorce, but sources say that she and Nick are definitely over. There have been some reports that Nick Cannon is already dating new people. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Nick has been dating Jasmine Sanders for the past few months.
