What Will The New Royal Baby Look Like? This Software Gives Us A Sneak Peek! [Photo]

The frenzy over the new royal baby has already begun. After months of rumor and speculation, of each angle of Duchess Kate’s body being inspected for a tell-tale baby bump, the royal couple finally announced that they are, indeed, expecting a second child.

The couple probably announced the news a little sooner than they would have liked, but it seems as though Princess Kate is once again suffering from debilitating morning sickness (poor thing!). The couple probably felt it was easier just to announce it than to deal with the continued rumors and speculations.

Of course, now that the news of Kate’s pregnancy is actually official, that begins a whole lot of another kind of rumors and speculations!

Will the baby be a boy or a girl?

Many are guessing that the couple will have another boy (and betting their money on it, as well!) although, of course, the odds are pretty evenly split on gender.

What will the royal couple name the baby?

Apparently, Alexandra is a favorite for a princess, as well as the names Elizabeth, Diana, Victoria and Georgia. For a second prince, James seems to be in the number one slot, with Arthur, Charles, Thomas and Henry all considered strong contenders.

What will the royal baby look like?

That’s yet another question that won’t be answered until March, when Kate is due to give birth. But software programmer Charanjeet Kondal may have given us a pretty good sneak peek as to what the baby may look like as a toddler. Using a software application, he invented, called Morph Thing, Kondal has so far proved to be pretty darn good at predicting the looks of the last royal arrival. And according to Kondal, the baby will have wispy blonde hair, deep brown eyes and a small nose.

Kondal’s software works by taking the key features of each parent, and then “morphing” them together in order to create a prediction of the couple’s child’s appearance. According to Kondal, “On each image focal features like the nose, eyes, mouth and eyebrows are taken and combined to find an average between them. That average is then taken from both images and then that average is combined to create the final image.”

Of course, genetics isn’t something that is so easily predictable. The baby may favor one parent more than the other, be blonde like his or her grandmother Princess Diana or dark like his or her mother. But chances are, the baby will be utterly adorable…as well as completely royal!
