Google is the World’s Most Attractive Employer

For the third consecutive year, Google remains as the world’s most attractive employer in both business and engineering categories. That’s based on the preferences of over 160,000 career seekers from the world’s 12 largest economies.

The global talent attraction index entitled “The World’s Most Attractive Employers 2011” was released by Universum, an international branding company.

Carlo Duraturo, Global Account Director at Universum, commented on why Google is on top of the list:

“The software industry is highly dependent on its talent, hence the efforts to attract and retain the brightest minds. There’s a new working-culture paradigm today – the relaxed & creative office – and part of it we owe it to this industry. Generation Y feels comfortable working in this environment and it’s clearly reflected in the attractiveness of this industry.”

You can cast reservations looking at the list, feeling that some companies are missing but 160,000 career seekers can’t be wrong.
