Justin Bieber Manager, Ariana Grande Slam Alleged Photo Shoot Walkout Rumors

Scooter Braun probably earns every dime of the 20 percent or 30 percent he takes as the manager of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

While Braun has had plenty of experience fending off pitchforks for over a year and eight months of Justin’s exploits — both the real and fabricated/exaggerated — in the last few days, his new darling Ariana has come under fire.

After last Friday’s Stand Up to Cancer benefit, Brit bottom-feeder tabloid The Daily Star claimed the “Problem” singer was exactly that backstage. Well, their words were “a total nightmare.”

Joel Gallen, Stand Up To Cancer’s executive producer and director spoke to E! News to slam the UK rag.

“The U.K. Daily Star’s story on Ariana Grande is completely false,” Gallen said.

“Ariana was wonderful to work with, very gracious and a consummate professional to our team and everyone at the Stand Up to Cancer telecast. Her moving performance of ‘My Everything,’ which she sang in honor of her grandfather who passed away from cancer, was one of the most emotional moments of the night. We were honored to have her join us.”

However, more detailed rumors surfaced on Monday out of Australia that the 21-year-old allegedly walked off a photoshoot and canceled other shoots and interviews after issuing “diva” demands.

Grande, who’s currently in Sydney promoting her new My Everything album, is accused of insisting interviewers refrain from asking her about her dating life, her former Nickelodeon Show “Sam & Cat” and former co-star Jennette McCurdy, her grandfather who recently passed away, Mariah Carey and working with Bieber.

Further alleged commands included instructs to photographers to “Don’t use natural light,” and “Do shoot only from the left side of her face.”

It’s claimed one of Grande’s reps went to a photog and demanded he delete his photos, and that when he refused, he was later approached at his car by a member of her security team who attempted to stop him closing the tailgate on his car while he put his equipment away.

Grande then allegedly canceled the rest of her press including News Corp Australia.

Braun took to Twitter Monday night, ranting in defense of his starlet.

“@ArianaGrande is kind, caring, and more than anything she is a great human being.”

“Some people make up rumors for a living…. so saying things about Ari comes with her now being a big star. But saying she isn’t a good person that ain’t gonna fly.”

He went on to add, “Just yesterday she did an impromptu meet and greet for all her fans that almost got her kicked out of her hotel after a 14 hour work day.”

“Why? Because she knows u care so she does too. There is Zero truth to anything different. Enough is enough.”

Bieber got a brief mention, when Scooter added: “& don’t get me started on JB!! Lol.”

“Come on. Give the kid a break! Let him at least try to show u some truth! And I’m done. #twittervent lol.”

For Ariana’s part, the artist defended herself in a radio interview on The Edge 96.ONE on Tuesday.

She told her hosts “it does suck” to hear “totally untrue and annoying” rumors, adding:

“It was just a photographer or something who got mad at me because I left to change my outfit mid-photo shoot because I didn’t like my top,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll be right back!’ and then I came back and he had left. I was like, ‘Oh, s–t!'”

She added, “Then he came out and said all these ridiculous, untrue things about me. I was like, ‘That’s not real. That’s nonsense!'”

Grande said, “My fans know who I am, my family knows who I am, my friends know who I am and that’s all that matters.”

“No matter what you do, no matter what your profession is, no matter how old you are — everybody deals with haters. We could talk about it for hours.”

She continued: “They are also people who don’t necessarily know you or understand you. They’re also judging an inaccurate depiction of you.”

There’s an old saying; the bigger the star, the bigger the target. The jury’s out on whether the photo shoot walkout claims against Ariana are true or not. But, be assured, this won’t be the last time they’re heard. Once a rumored reputation gets going, that’s the angle that gets pursued by tabloids.

As for Bieber’s press? That’s a whole other story.
