G.R.L.’s Simone Battle’s Death Ruled A Suicide By Officials

Simone Battle’s death has been ruled as a suicide by officials. As The Inquisitr previously reported, Battle was found on Friday morning in the closet of her West Hollywood home. At the time, her death was still open for investigation, but it was heavily implied that suicide was the first option authorities were looking at.

Now, according to The Associated Press, Los Angeles County Coroner’s Lt. Fred Corral has ruled the death as a suicide. The G.R.L. member gained popularity in the U.S. by appearing on the X Factor reality show. The five vocal members were originally a reboot of the Pussycat Dolls under the supervision of Robin Antin.

Following Simone Battle’s sudden death RCA Records, Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, and Kemosabe Records released a statement in regards to Battle’s apparent suicide.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”

On September 6, the surviving members of G.R.L. made a statement via Twitter after receiving many tweets of condolences by their fans.

Although Simone was obviously battling depression, her last tweet, made on September 2, seemed to paint the singer in positive spirits.

Over the weekend, there were many tributes to Simone Battle. X Factor judge and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger performed in South Africa and dedicated the performance to the late singer. Scherzinger opened the floor of discussion to anyone that is dealing with a difficult situation.

Nicole Scherzinger might of had a personal connection to the singer as both were represented by Reign Deer Entertainment.

Simone Battle’s X Factor mentor Simon Cowell paid tribute to her in a tweet that said, “I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It’s such a loss. Rest in peace Simone.”
