Fran Drescher Is Married: ‘The Nanny’ Actress Weds Shiva Ayyadurai… Who Is He?

The Nanny is married! Actress Fran Drescher married Shiva Ayyadurai in an intimate ceremony at the home that they share together. According to People Magazine, Drescher wore a Badgley Mischka gown, while her beau wore Ralph Lauren. The two have been together for a little over a year. They met at an event hosted by Deepak Chopra where Ayyasdurai spoke. The 50-year-old holds the patent for creating email (though he didn’t actually invent the prototype), which he copyrighted in 1982. He says that Fran really loved his speech that day… and the two fell in love soon after.

“Fran heard my talk and we fell in love, and we’ve been together since that talk. Every day is a celebration with Fran. Every day is almost a romantic hangout with her. We’re always laughing, always enjoying ourselves.”

Fran Drescher made the marriage announcement herself on Twitter on Sunday night.

Drescher has also been sharing photos of the two throughout the summer. It seems like they really get along great and really enjoying going new places and trying new things together. Of course, Drescher really loves Shiva’s mind, and the way he thinks, which is what drew her to him in the first place.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Fran’s last television series, Happily Divorced was canceled back in 2013. That’s the last series that Fran did according to IMDb. It is unknown if Drescher plans on doing any more acting, but it seems like she’s really enjoying other things right now. She and her husband will likely travel and Fran will continue to support Shiva at any upcoming appearances and talks that he might have.

This is the second marriage for Drescher. She was married to Peter Marc Jacobson from 1978-1999.
