‘Teen Mom’ Leah Messer’s Daughter Gets New Pink Wheelchair
Teen Mom star Leah Messer’s daughter Ali has another reason to smile. The adorable little reality star has gotten herself a brand new pink wheelchair.
According to Starcasm, Teen Mom fans know that Leah Messer’s twin girls have been a huge joy in her life. But when she noticed her daughter Ali wasn’t developing the same way as her twin sister Aleeah, she knew there was cause for concern, and sought medical attention.
The Teen Mom star spent years taking Ali to doctors and trying physical therapy. Messer recently found out that Ali has a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy, a condition that sometimes means she needs the use of a wheelchair to get around.
Leah Messer and ex-husband Corey Simms have gone back and forth about Ali using a wheelchair, but in the end, it seems everyone agreed that the wheelchair was best for Ali, as she could conserve her energy, and keep up with the other children while using it.
However, Teen Mom fans know that getting the wheelchair wasn’t easy. Corey Simms’ insurance rejected little Ali’s claim, leaving the parents worried about what they might do.
However, Ali has a wheelchair now, and it totally reflects her personality and spunk. The pink wheelchair is sure to have Ali excited, and is more girly. The little Teen Mom star has to be excited about having a pink wheelchair to use.
Leah Messer revealed that Ali was about to get a new customized wheelchair on Twitter after a recently episode of Teen Mom 2.
“I hope everyone enjoyed tonight’s episode… we still have the loaner chair, but sadly it’s out of my hands. We are thankful for what we have, but excited to get Ali’s personal pink wheelchair for school etc. Say many prayers that we will have it soon.”
Of course, the entire process of Ali’s diagnosis, medical bills, and wheelchair dilemma has taken it’s toll on Leah Messer and Corey Simms, who, as previously reported by The Inquisitr, may be in for a custody battle in the near future.
According to Wet Paint, little Ali also recently got a brand new horse from her grandparents, which is helpful therapy for Ali. However, the Teen Mom alum got criticized for that, as she does by online haters nearly every day, but tried to stay positive regardless.
