Shane Warne Planning Liz Hurley Proposal
Friends of Shane Warne say the former Aussie cricketer will propose to Liz Hurley before Christmas.
Warne and Hurley, who recently divorced textiles heir Arun Nayar, have been dating since late last year after a bout of slightly stomach-churning Twitter flirting.
“Liz and Shane have a really happy, fun and secure relationship,” a ‘source close to Warne’ blabbed to The Mirror, adding:
“They are forever giggling. Shane absolutely adores her and is keen to make their relationship official. He plans on proposing before Christmas, with the couple having a low-key wedding late next year. Shane is romantic and a traditionalist, and will definitely get down on bended knee to do the deed. Liz is in no hurry to walk down the aisle again, though, after only divorcing her ex in the summer.”
Warne and Hurley were rumored to have got engaged last month, but Warne denied the claims, though stated he is “in love” with the 46-year-old star of Gossip Girl. When he does get down on one knee, Warne says an announcement will be made.
Judging by his rapidly changing appearance, he’s certainly keen to please her – day by day, the once podgy sportsman is inching ever closer to resembling his own waxwork. His leaner, metrosexual look contrasts sharply with his previous image as a laddish alpha male (admittedly one who is very good at spinning a cricket ball).
Both Hurley and Warne have children from previous relationships. Hurley gave birth to a son with businessman Steve Bing in 2002, while Warne has three kids with ex-wife Simone Callahan.
