Debbie Wasserman Schultz Attacks Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Twitter Is Not Kind
Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Florida) made some comments regarding Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker which have landed her in hot water. This is plain to see by the hate she is getting on Twitter, where people are voicing their opinion about the ill-advised statements.
The whole issue stems from comments the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman made, slamming Walker for what she says is his treatment of Wisconsin women, according to Wasserman Schultz. During a round-table discussion on women’s issues at the Milwaukee Athletic Club on Wednesday, the congresswoman compared the Governor’s actions to domestic abuse.
“Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality. What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch.”
The remarks have created a storm of controversy on social media and Twitter is no exception, even after Wasserman Schultz somewhat backtracked and apologized for her statements, saying, “I shouldn’t have used the words I used.” This is also getting plenty of attention.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz does not care about women. She only cares about power. Truth and character is of no concern to her. Apologize!

A few minutes with DWS (Debbie Wasserman Schultz) would make going home to a nagging wife a privilege. No joke! No offense meant, ladies.

Now, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her team are in damage control mode following the controversial comments. Lily Adams, the DNC deputy communications director, said in a statement, “Domestic violence is an incredibly serious issue, and the congresswoman (Wasserman Schultz) was by no means belittling the very real pain survivors experience.”
According to the Sun Sentinel, Wisconsin Republican Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch stated, “I think the remarks were absolutely hideous and the motive behind them was despicable.”
