Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton Nude Photos To Be Displayed In Florida Art Exhibit

Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton obviously don’t want their nude photos plastered all over the place, but the Oscar-winning actress and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model are having a hard time keeping the public from peeking at their leaked pictures.

According to E! Online, an artist is planning on adding Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton’s uncensored nude photos to an upcoming art show in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Cory Allen Contemporary Art (CACA) recently announced that guerilla artist XVALA will display the leaked photos on October 30 at CACA’s The Showroom as part of his “No Delete” show.

His publicist tried to explain why the photos are art.

“XVALA appropriating celebrity compromised images and the overall ‘Fear Google’ campaign has helped strengthen the ongoing debate over privacy in the digital era. The commentary behind this show is a reflection of who we are today. We all become ‘users’ and in the end, we become ‘used.'”

However, publicly displaying illegally obtained nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton isn’t just a great way to spark a debate over privacy—it’s also an excellent way to get more eyeballs at your art show.

Many of the “No Delete” attendees might just be guys who found out about “The Fappening” too late. Lawrence and Upton have actually managed to get many of their stolen nude photos deleted from sites like Reddit and 4Chan by threatening legal action. Because of this, some folks are having a hard time finding them online.

To further inspire the gawkers, XVALA will make sure that his art show attendees get a really good look at the leaked photos by making them life-sized. The “No Delete” show will also include other private images of celebrities found on Google, including a few of Britney Spears and Scarlett Johansson.

To defend his actions, XVALA tried to contend that there really is a deeper meaning behind his show consisting of paparazzi pics and the photos that many men keep in secret folders on their computers.

“In today’s culture, everybody wants to know everything about everybody. An individual’s privacy has become everyone else’s business. It has become cash for cache.”

This isn’t the first time XVALA has used celebrities as art inspiration. According to the CACA website, he gathered trash from Justin Bieber’s dumpster to create “Banana Split: A Memento for Celebrity Exes.” It was a sculpture of a chocolate banana in a hot dog bun. The odd work of art was “inspired by the media’s relentless coverage of celebrity split-ups and the inevitable outcome of the fledgling relationship of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.”

XVALA also raided Kim Kardashian’s trash can to create “Slammed and Dunked,” a sculpture created from a deflated basketball found in Kim K’s garbage. It was inspired by the reality show star’s failed marriage to Kris Humphries.

However, XVALA isn’t the only one choosing to ignore the legal threats of Jennifer Lawrence. According to TMZ, one porn site is refusing to take down certain nude photos of the actress. Lawrence’s legal team is getting her photos removed from websites by claiming that she owns the copyright on them. However, the unnamed porn site contends that Jen only owns the copyright on the selfies, and the photos that appear to be taken by someone else are fair game.

“In its response to Lawrence’s attorney… we’re told the site is demanding proof of Jennifer’s copyright, or the name of the person who snapped the shots,” TMZ reported. It’s doubtful that Lawrence’s legal team will be dropping that name—doing so would just create a new scandalous tabloid story for Jennifer to deal with.

It’s pretty despicable that others are using Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton’s nude photos to line their pockets. After all, regardless of who took the pictures, they’re still stolen property. Now here’s an interesting moral question to ponder: Is it worse to profit off the photos by posting them on a porn site or trying to pass them off as art?
