Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About ‘Making Mistakes’
Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to opening up about her failures — from her relationships to her bombed box office blunders, Lopez has always been an entertainer that has let her fans in even at her lowest points in her personal life and in her career.
Due to her open relationships with her fans and the media, Lopez always remains somewhat relatable despite leaving her block decades ago.
Now Lopez is once again opening up about making mistakes. These days she’s way past talking about her failed romance with actor-director Ben Affleck, which consumed the tabloids for years.

Now that she’s single and away from her ex-beau Casper Smart, Lopez opened up to Elle U.K. about believing in love despite failing at some relationships.
“The nirvana man, he’s out there somewhere, but you just have to work at it. You have to work at everything.”
The discussion quickly turns into making mistakes and how she reacts to those mistakes once they happen.
“Everybody has seen that I make mistakes. Every single album I have ever made is about love. But I am not going to give up. I have to look at what I do wrong. I rush in, I get swept up, I ignore the signs. But so many of us are guilty of these things. Each time it goes wrong, it’s hard.”
And what about making those mistakes in public? Well, the singer-actress isn’t focusing on that too much, because for her it’s all worth it in the end.
“Is it worth making mistakes, in my case in public, and trying to figure out what you do and balance everything and constantly grow? I’d say yes.”
As for how her divorce with Marc Anthony affects their twins, she’s very open in talking about that male presence that is missing in her household, especially coming from a traditional setting. In the interview she recounts her initial reaction.
“When Marc and I first broke up, I did think, ‘I wish I could have held this together.’ But when you realize it’s not the right thing for anybody, you think, ‘OK, well how do we make this work, how do we make this better, how do we make this great for the children anyway?'”
That said, it looks like Lopez is slowly picking up the pieces from her last failed relationship with her much younger beau Casper Smart. It’s rumored that she’s now dating professional ballroom dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
