This Squirrel’s Epic Fail Is Adorable [Video]

What is it that makes watching animals do their basic everyday habits so entertaining? These are just animals trying to live their lives, which may include eating, sleeping, or learning about new changes in their environment. Why do we find pet cats lacking insomnia so cute? Why does the relationship between a bear, lion, and tiger growing up together seem so adorable? I guess it comes down to one’s desire to observe beauty, even in the animal kingdom.

Some animals are privileged to even be adorable when they are failing in their lives. This is best proven by a video on YouTube of a squirrel failing to seize all the food within a bird feeder.

Uploaded on the YouTube channel, GoPro, on August 26, 2014, the video already has over 170,000 views with almost 6,000 of those viewers liking the video. Unfortunately, 42 people did not like the squirrel failing, which is allowable for this cause. Also, this video is also on the list for The Most Popular Videos on YouTube too.

The video itself is very simple, as it records a single bird feeder on an artsy metal hanger. It’s a tranquil day with no distractions, that is, until the adorable rodent appears to seize the day. Moved forward by Johann Strauss II’s “The Blue Danube Waltz,” the squirrel tries multiple ways to get to the bird feeder. The unfortunate thing for the squirrel is the path is perilous as the metal hanger sways gently in the wind. However, that gentle sway is enough to cause danger for the squirrel. In the end, the squirrel fails to getting to the bird feeder, but was able to knock it around a bit to shake enough of the food to the ground.

This video was filmed with a GoPro Hero camera, the same camera used in recording a high-speed jet ski ride through a tight canyon, which was reported earlier here on The Inquisitr.

What did you think of the squirrel’s novel (yet failed) attempt to procure food? Was it worth the watch or a waste of time? Please let us know in the comments below.
