Jon Voight Happy With Son-In-Law Brad Pitt, Speaks About The Wedding He Wasn’t Invited To

You can certainly count on Jon Voight to talk about his daughter Angelina Jolie, and that’s probably partly why they have a strained relationship. That said, Voight had nothing but lovely things to say about his daughter and his son-in-law Brad Pitt. Despite the fact that he wasn’t invited to the wedding that took place in France, Voight is very happy that the two have found each other and made it official.

Although he has no idea that the wedding happened until he was told by the press, Voight did have a few things to say about the special occasion. The actor told Good Morning Britain:

“I’m very happy that I can now legitimately call him my son-in-law, this wonderful fellow who I love, and that they’re very happy.”

The Ray Donovan actor continued to speak about the Jolie-Pitt family, including his grandchildren.

“The kids must have had a wonderful time at the wedding because they all had their things to do.”

And what about that wedding that he wasn’t invited to? Well, apparently there’s no hard feelings, and Voight only wishes the best for his daughter and son-in-law.

“It must have been very beautiful. I’m very happy for them.”

Always a couple that’s on the go, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to make their lives together a whirlwind honeymoon every single day, so it’s no surprise that they’re mixing their wedded bliss with some on location work. The two are currently prepping to start production on their film together, which will shoot in Malta in a few weeks.

This will be the first film they have collaborated on since Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Not only is this the first film they’ve done together since announcing their relationship, but this is the first project Brad and Angie will do post nuptials.

As for when Jon will reunite with his very famous family, he has faith that it will happen all in due time.

“She’s working now with Brad, and I’ve got a couple of things to do, too, but as soon as we can, we’ll get together – it’s going to be exciting.”

As we previously reported, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made it official during a private ceremony in France last weekend. The only confirmed guests were Pitt’s parents, his brother and sister, and of course all of the couple’s children.
