Chelsea Handler Says Goodbye To ‘Lately’ With Star-Studded Finale

E!‘s Chelsea Lately wrapped up its seven-year run and and all-star cast was there to bid farewell to the show and its leader Chelsea Handler.

Handler was in good spirits, and even gave herself a pat on the back for a job well done, during the show’s final episode. Past guests, celebrity friends and even ex-boyfriend 50 Cent stopped by to wish Chelsea well and celebrate the long-running show. The finale featured such big names as Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Ellen DeGeneres, Reese Witherspoon, and Tim Gunn. Handler brought back some of her frequent comedian panelists who have since gone on to have see major success in television and movies. Silicon Valley‘s T.J. Miller returned for the finale, as did fellow stand-up and sitcom star Whitney Cummings.

Aniston, Bullock, and Mary McCormack staged an ‘intervention’ for Handler, during which Bullock confronted the longtime stand-up about her abilities as a TV host and comedian. “You’re not funny. You’re not cool,” joked the Gravity star. “I think you’re probably one of the most unhip people I’ve ever met.”

Some stars even took to Twitter to poke fun at the Lately host and wish her well. Dane Cook, a friend and guest of Chelsea’s, tweeted “Congrats girl. You’ve come a long way with very little talent. #incrediblenight”

During the show’s sendoff, celebrity guests jumped at the chance to roast Chelsea Handler and poke fun at the host’s seven year TV stint. After the “intervention” on Handler, Bullock brought out her ex-boyfriend, rapper 50 Cent, who performed. The former couple also had a moment to catch up on-air, and Chelsea even used the moment to playfully confront 50 Cent on the subject of his new album. “I haven’t seen you since we stopped seeing each other. So I’m assuming that your new album is about me?”

In addition to 50’s performance, Miley Cyrus also stopped by to perform. Handler even gushed about the pop star, expressing admiration for her. The show ended with a guest-filled musical number that served as a proper send-off as Chelsea moves on from her long-running late night show. The 39 year-old New Jersey native and author of Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea recently signed on to host a talk show for Netflix, a move that seemed to be a dream come true for Handler, who infamously bashed the E! network on the Howard Stern Show recently, calling it a “sad, sad place to live.”

The public split between Chelsea Handler and E! is not the star’s first brush with controversy, who recently was in the news for posting a naked pic to Instagram. Scandals aside, Chelsea Lately has proven to be a success for the entertainment network, proved by the all-star guest list during the show’s finale. At the very end of the final Lately, Chelsea alluded to the Netflix move very matter-of-factly, saying simply “I’ll see you on Netflix!”
