Jessica Lange Talks ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show,’ Might Be Dating The Axeman

Jessica Lange talked about American Horror Story: Freak Show at the Emmy Awards, and what she had to say should excite fans of the horror TV series.

After scoring her second Emmy for the FX show, the master of bitchcraft was happy to chat about what fans can expect from season 4 of American Horror Story. Lange told Hollywood Life that the upcoming season is going to be the best one yet.

“I think this season is going to be the most extraordinary that we’ve done. I think that what we’ve got – what’s working there, the potential is pretty extraordinary. And if it can all come together, and if we can keep on track, I think it’s going to be something really, really special.”

It looks like one very special scene from American Horror Story: Freak Show will feature Jessica Lange and Jyoti Amge, the World’s Smallest Woman. Ryan Murphy recently shared a Twitter photo of Jessica and Jyoti posing together, and he announced that Amge will be joining the season 4 cast.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, Lange will be playing Ethel Mars, a German ex-pat who is based on Marlene Dietrich. Jessica will channel the glamorous silver screen goddess by rocking a red ringmaster outfit similar to one worn by Dietrich during some of her stage shows.

Jessica Lange’s character runs one of the last remaining freak shows in the country, and her industry is one that is slowly dying out. This means that she might have to do some pretty extreme things to stay in business.

American Horror Story has had a pretty incredible impact on Lange’s life. It hasn’t just helped her score awards — it’s also helped her find love. According to Zap2It, Jessica Lange was spotted getting pretty cozy with American Horror Story: Coven costar Danny Huston at the Emmy Awards. Last season their characters indulged in a torrid love affair that got just a tad too hot. Bad girl Supreme Fiona Goode and jazz-obsessed serial killer extraordinaire The Axeman of New Orleans ended up spending eternity together — in hell. Hopefully Danny Huston and Jessica Lange have a much happier ending in real life.

Jessica Lange is also getting recognized by teens who would have no idea who she was if it wasn’t for American Horror Story. At the Emmy Awards, she told a great story about getting noticed by kids who probably haven’t seen Tootsie.

“One day I was walking down the street in New Orleans, and I passed this group of young men that were sitting on a stoop. And as I went by, I heard the guy say, ‘Holy sh*t balls. The Supreme!’ I thought that was the greatest thing ever.”

Are you looking forward to seeing Jessica Lange’s new character on American Horror Story: Freak Show, or are you going to miss witch bitch Fiona Goode?
