Supernatural’s 200th Episode Will Have Viewers Singing Its Praises, But Could the 11th Season Be The Last?

Season 10 of CW’s Supernatural has not even aired, but the excitement for Season 11 is already the buzz of the fans. The announcement of the 11th season was reported by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki during VanCon. However, it could have been Ackles way of saying that he and the cast intend to last longer than Smallville did.

“We will have season 11… Suck it, Welling!”

Luckily for the cast of Supernatural, the president of The CW, Mark Pedowitz, is a fan of the show and has made a promise to the fans.

“As a fan of the show who’s seen every episode, as long as I’m here and those numbers hold, God bless them. They can go as long as they want.”

Although the eleventh season has not been officially confirmed, there are also rumors that the 11th will be the last. Despite the unfounded rumors, Season 10 promises to hit strong and leave fans salivating for more.

The tenth season will include the 200th episode, which is something the cast is excited to celebrate with the viewers by including musical numbers that the fans can sing along to. The entire episode will not be a mimicry of your favorite Glee episode, but it will features some favorite cover songs and also some original tunes. At this time, there is no preview of how Dean’s transformation into a demon at the end of season 9 will play into the episode. Paladecki did share some of what he has heard about the episode.

“Yeah it’s awesome. The episode will be very meta. It’s a pure shout out and thank you to the real fans. I haven’t had the chance to read it yet but I’ve heard it’s almost similar to our “The Real Ghostbusters episode. We’re not at a convention but we’re at a place where they’re doing a play based on the Chuck Shurley books. So not only are these books based on our lives, now people are doing a play based on these books, and someone is haunting it, so we go and try to investigate what’s going on at this play, based on the books about our lives.”

The tenth season of Supernatural will air on The CW on October 7. As for the rumors that the show will end after the 11th season, don’t fret. Jeremy Carver has revealed that he knows how Supernatural will end, he thought of it around Season 5. Here we are at Season 10, and the show is just as strong, if not stronger, than it was then.

The only thing that Supernatural fans want more than Season 10 to get here fast, is for Destiel to finally become a reality. Share your Destiel thoughts in the comments below.
