Robin Williams Financial Problems Not True, Offered Job In Las Vegas For $600,000

Robin Williams had the chance to work in Las Vegas, according to the latest report by TMZ. Robin Williams’ fans had been under the impression the actor had committed suicide because of depression surrounding his money troubles. Robin Williams’ so-called financial problems have been vehemently refuted by close friends and family.

This latest Robin Williams report is in sync with what Robin Williams’ family and friends have stated all along. Robin Williams did not have money troubles. A document addressed to Williams obtained exclusively by TMZ, shows an offer of $600,000 if Robin would agree to do two shows in Vegas.

Robin Williams refused the $600,000 offer and the chance to work in Las Vegas because he was working on the show The Crazy Ones at the time of the offer.

Rumors of Robin Williams money troubles began after his CBS show The Crazy Ones was cancelled. An unnamed source then told the Daily Mail that Williams was depressed over the cancellation and a large debt that he had acquired during two divorce battles.
Regarding money, Robin Williams stated the following in an interview with Parade.

The idea of having a steady job is appealing. I have two [other] choices: go on the road doing stand-up, or do small, independent movies working almost for scale [minimum union pay]. The movies are good, but a lot of times they don’t even have distribution. There are bills to pay. My life has downsized, in a good way. I’m selling the ranch up in Napa. I just can’t afford it anymore.

Comedian and actor Robin Williams suggested in an interview that getting a divorce was too costly, and that it could leave one broke.

“Divorce is expensive. I used to joke they were going to call it ‘all the money,’ but they changed it to ‘alimony.’ It’s ripping your heart out through your wallet.”

According to Examiner, Robin Williams was found dead in his home at 95 Saint Thomas Way in Tiburon, California. His assistant found his body in a slight sitting position. She told dispatchers that Williams appeared to have died due to suicide due to a hanging. Rigor mortis had already set in when his body was found, the Inquisitr reported earlier.

Robin Williams’ fans are still wondering what happened to their beloved comedian. Recently a tribute was held in honor of the comedian at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA’s) and the 2014 Emmy Awards.
