Prince Harry Turning 30 As Ex-Girlfriend Chelsy Davy Prepares To Announce Engagement

Prince Harry may be turning 30 soon, but there doesn’t appear to be any signs of wedding bells for the young Prince, as of yet.

On the other hand, his ex-heartthrob, Chelsy Davy, isn’t hanging about. She is set to officially announce her engagement to society jeweler Charles Goode any day now. Now 28, Davy, who was on-and-off with Prince Harry for the best part of seven years(!), just spent a romantic two weeks with Goode in Africa

Davy and Goode have been dating for around a year, and recently traveled through Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi, spending most of their time fishing, trekking and going on safari.

In a romantic moment on top of Mount Mulanje, Goode reportedly popped the question, and it seems that Davy said “yes.”

The Mail on Sunday reported that a friend of the couple spoke to them about the engagement. “Charles was planning to propose on holiday and everyone thinks he has now done it. He is off-comms out there, so if there is an announcement it will come this week when they return home,” the source revealed.

Another friend of the couple also told the Mail that Charles Goode has never hidden his intention to marry Chelsy Davy. “He made it pretty clear before he left for Africa that he wants to marry Chelsy,” the friend said.

The announcement probably won’t come as a shock to Prince Harry, but it may give him just a tinge of nostalgia for the “good ole’ days” with Chelsy, since he sees her as a pretty close friend, and they “go back.”

Back in the day, Davy made it clear that she wasn’t overly keen about the prospect of marrying into the royal family, saying to reporters, “It’s not a life for me.”

Another source told the Mail, “The years Harry was with Chelsy were some of the happiest of his life. There has always been a sense that he might get back with her one day. Of course, if she marries that will no longer be the case.”
