Justin Bieber Teases He Will Drop New Music ‘This Year’

Justin Bieber is teasing us about that new music again.

If you’ve been following Bieber news of late, you’ll know it’s a relief to be even talking about the 20-year-old’s music for a change.

In a tweet posted Thursday, the pop prince dangled a musical carrot to his over 53. 8 million Twitter followers.

It’s unclear whether the newly coiffed and ‘stache-less Bieber is hinting his 2015-slated solo album. It could also be the “cool acoustic project” that he, Aussie teen idol collaborator Cody Simpson and mutual manager Scooter Braun have been talking up for the past three months off and on social media.

Rewinding to Aug. 19, Justin messaged Cody in a tweet that read “11.10,” before deleting it soon afterwards.

It suggests October or November could be the D-date for a new single as part of a joint EP or album drop from the duo.

Either way, we already know it’s some rather than one song that’s coming from both artists.

In an interview at the recent Teen Choice Awards, Simpson talked about a “bunch of songs” he’s been writing with Bieber and suggested something could be revealed within the next two weeks.

Of late, the pair have taken to tagging their social media posts with the hashtag “2guitars.”

Album title?

Instagram videos of both performers jamming solo and together, as well as glimpses of studio sessions with Bieber’s musical director, lead guitarist Dan Kanter and others followed.

Earlier this month, the “Baby” singer tweeted an Instagram photo of three guitars.

It was captioned: “Acoustic album?”

Around that time, Braun got the boys’ fans collective pulse racing when he revealed the New York Office of the “label” were “blown away” by Justin and Cody’s new music.

That same day (Aug. 5), Simpson announced on the Australian radio show The Bump that an old song of his, “Boy Without A Home” has been reworked with Justin. He told the station it’s a track they “both relate to.”

Other possibilities for Bieber’s teasing tweet could involve a limited acoustic tour.

Fast forward to Cody’s tweet earlier today:

In the meantime, there’s reams of the usual clogging up the news cycle, in addition to Jelena galore.

But, “new music” is coming. At some point.

Meanwhile, we guarantee you at least one of the posts below will keep away the blues.

“Turn Down for what lol,” Justin tweeted with the Vine.
