Those crazy Chinese, are rapidly gaining on the Japanese in terms of wackiness. News out of Wangzhuang village, in China is there is a nutterman called Wen Xide, who reckons he has been eating live snakes for 10 years. Mmmm delicious, the perfect snack.

He told the Chinese press that he ate his first snake to win a bet with friends for a packet of cigarettes. That’s right he ate a live snake for a packet of cigarettes.

He reckons after the first one he was hooked. There you have it eating live snakes is like crack, don’t tell Amy Winehouse, there will beno snakes left in the world. Apparently now Wen Xide he loves nothing more than cracking open a beer and chowing down on a few snakes.

Wen said about his disgusting habit:

“It’s a bit smelly, but they’re very delicious,” he exclaimed – although watching villagers said the sight gave them goosebumps and two vomited at the scene.

How gross is this. Wen says his son has picked up the habit from him and has eaten eight live snakes this year. Does China even have child welfare authorities, because if they do they need to get on this stat.

Wang Tianming, a doctor specialising in digestion at a local hospital, said as a result of eating live snakes Wen could suffer nerve problems and risked infection from parasites.

In my view he also risks his crap shedding its own skin, slithering up the bowl and biting him on the ass.
