Robert Pattinson Accepts Ice Bucket Challenge Thanks To Zac Efron

Robert Pattinson proves that even without social media and with the help of some good friends you can still take part in the famous ice bucket challenge which is quickly raising funds for the ALS Association. The Ice Bucket Challenge has spread like wildfire through social media, and with everyone posting and nominating others through the use of social media, how is someone who doesn’t have a Facebook or Twitter account participate?

That was the exact issue that actor Robert Pattinson found himself dealing with. On Tuesday, Zac Efron accepted the challenge then nominated his friend, Pattinson, for the challenge. The Twilight star wasn’t going to allow his lack of social media presence to stop him from accepting! With the help of Zac, Robert was able to not only take the challenge, but post it online for us all to enjoy!

According to Hollywood Life, Pattinson’s video was uploaded to Zac Efron’s YouTube Channel with the caption “Rob’s not on social media, so he asked me to post his Ice Bucket Challenge for ALSA.org. #StrikeOutALS”

In the video, Pattinson admits that he was unable to locate a bucket on such short notice, but that wasn’t going to stop him from participating!

“Thanks for your nomination, Efron. Thanks very much,” Pattinson, wearing a backward cap and white T-shirt, began to say. “I couldn’t find a bucket at such short notice, so I had to improvise.”

According to E! News, while Pattinson closes his eyes, bracing himself for the cold splash of ice and water, someone comes up besides the actor and simply dumps a saucepan full of plain ice cubes over his head. But of course, that’s not all. E! News continued on to say that Robert Pattinson then got sprayed repeatedly with water from a hose.

As if that wasn’t enough, while Pattinson attempts to nominate his picks, his friends can be heard giggling in the background as they continue to spray him with the hose, and throw red cups and ice cubes at him. So who where Rob’s nominations? Guy Pearce, Mia Wasikowska and Marilyn Manson.

According to a recent report by The Inquisitr, the Ice Bucket Challenge has already raised an astounding $22.9 million as of Tuesday, all of which has been donated in the past three weeks.
