‘Real Housewives’ Phaedra Parks Heads To Ferguson, Visits Michael Brown’s Parents

Real HousewivesOf Atlanta star Phaedra Parks headed to Ferguson, Missouri, to meet Michael Brown’s parents after he was shot and killed by a police officer last week. According to Radar Online, Parks was in Missouri on a book tour and decided to make the trip to offer her condolences to the Brown family.

“During my St. Louis visit, I had the pleasure of meeting #MichaelBrown’s mother Lesley McSpadden. Although, we come from different places & backgrounds, we are very much alike-We are both black women & mothers who deeply love our sons. Unfortunately, she is planning her son’s funeral while I struggle to make sure my sons never know her son’s fate. #fixitjesus #JusticeforMikeBrown #Ferguson #prayforpeace #prayforstlouis #StopPoliceBrutality.”

As Phaedra Parks states, she got along really well with Lesley McSpadden. Sadly, she had to meet this woman under heartbreaking circumstances, but the two women were able to relate to one another nonetheless. Of course the fact that Parks decided to go to Ferguson in the first place is very admirable. While the riots that have been going on aren’t exactly the best representation of people coming together for a cause that needs attention, the peaceful protests are certainly something that many people want to be a part of.

The Real Housewives star posted a few pictures on Instagram after the shooting of Michael Brown. She also shared a photo of her time in Ferguson.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Parks has been going through a lot since her husband, Apollo Nida, was sentenced to prison for fraud. There have been reports that Parks has filed for divorce from Nida ahead of his eight year prison stay. A source revealed that the couple had problems even before Nida’s legal troubles.

“Phaedra and Apollo had their issues, even before he got caught up [in his legal drama]. Phaedra is a good and loving woman and she tried to stand by him, honor, and hold him down.”

Parks, however, didn’t even show up for Nida’s sentencing. It seems more than obvious that she is doing her own thing, and letting the pieces fall where they may.
