David Guetta Fans Detained In Glasgow After Another Underwhelming Performance

David Guetta recently played a show in Glasgow recently and it seems that his performance caused quite a riot. He took to Bellahouston Park, according to STV News on Saturday night, to play his covey of hits to a mixed review and apparently some fans didn’t want the party to stop.

According to the report, 21 men and 10 women were arrested at the end of the evening for reported “minor public offenses”. Glasgow Evening News provided the following information about the arrests:

“The 31 people were either reported to the procurator fiscal or issued with a fixed penalty notice. No one was taken into custody.”

Glasgow Evening News also reviewed Guetta’s performance and gave the show a less than favorable review:

“It was then Guetta’s turn and he started off well with newer hits Shot Me Down and Bad. It might have been Tiesto who filled dancefloors over the summer with his remix of John Legend’s All of Me. But Guetta spun his own version of the track which reminded the crowd why he is one of the best producer’s around. The set then became bland with all the usual suspect dance hits filling up the Guetta Sandwich.”

Speaking of all-star collaborations, The Guardian recently reported on an interesting match up between the French DJ/Producer and none other than Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. According to the report, the unlikely pairing of the EDM star David Guetta and the southern rocker Billy Gibbons has resulted in “8 or 10 cuts” that are designed to “make it shake”. Gibbons told Billboard magazine the following about this unusual alliance:

“It’s a far cry from what people might expect — ‘Gibbons and electronic stuff?’ But a lot of people have overlooked the fact that one of the things that made (ZZ Top’s) Eliminator so interesting was the opportunity to go into that experimental side of things and fool around with the coolest new toys that could be found in the recording studio. I’m always fascinated by that, so my time in Spain was very fruitful.”

ZZ Top was in Spain during June for a European leg of their tour and afterward Billy Gibbons went to Ibiza to record with DJ David Guetta and reportedly recorded anough material to cover a few albums but finally settled on 8-10 tracks for a new album that is in the works. The release date for these works has not been released at this time.
