Johnny Depp Busy With A Series Of Movies

Versatile actor Johnny Depp seems to have his hands busy with a series of films. Just last week, the trailer for his new film Mortdecai was released. In the action-comedy movie, Depp plays a debonair art dealer. The movie is based on a series of novels by Kyril Bonfiglioli, but the movie centers on The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery.

The story is about Mortdecai and his travels around the world to search for a stolen painting that is said to have the code to a lost bank account containing Nazi gold. Mortdecai is scheduled to appear in cinemas all over U.S. on February 2015.

Aside from Mortdecai, Johnny Depp will also be busy filming for the second installment of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. On Saturday, the Southgate Moorings Car Park at Gloucester Docks in the U.K. were closed to the public, and rumors spread that it was because scenes from Through The Looking Glass will be shot. The docks will remain closed until Monday midnight, Gloucester Citizen reports.

With the rumors of shooting, residents of Gloucester are hoping that they bump into the dashing actor. Since there were ships that started docking at the Waterways Museum, fans of the movie are speculating what will happen in the second installment. Barbara Wilson who was visiting the docks said, “I wonder if the film will end with Alice being taken away in a boat and she disappears.”

Director James Bobin will be taking over Tim Burton’s role as director for Through the Looking Glass.

It seems that two movies are not enough for Johnny Depp. Christian Post reported that Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will be premiering on July 7, 2017. The fifth installment is said to be entitled Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Depp will be reprising his role as the lovable Jack Sparrow. The film will also feature other stars such as Christoph Waltz who will play Captain Brand. Other stars who will be back for the fifth pirate film are Keith Richards, Jack Davenport, and Geoffrey Rush.

No word has been said about the female supporting character for the movie, but there are speculations that Penelope Cruz will be coming back. There’s no news if this will be the last installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but some are saying that if it is, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner and Kiera Knigthley as Elizabeth Swann could come back as well.

Johnny Depp fans have all the reason to be excited with the announcement of these three films.
