WWE News: 2K Sports Releases The Entire Roster For WWE 2K15 Video Game

WWE has had a trend the last number of years of releasing the roster for their new video game along with the developers around the WWE SummerSlam weekend, usually at SummerSlam Axxess. So who made the cut and who was left out? It seems that the WWE did a great job of putting in surprises to the game along with adding just about everyone that people wanted. DLC characters are also going to be included in the coming months as well.

2k Sports added a lot to the game, and WWE was sure to get an amazing product knowing this. The roster includes both legends and current roster members. So without further ado, here is the WWE 2K15 roster:

As you can see, a few surprises are already involved with the roster reveal. Now former WWE Superstar CM Punk is involved in the game. He actually has a huge part in the game, as he will be part of the WWE Showcase mode. The Showcase mode will explore the major rivalries from WWE’s history.

Shawn Michaels vs Triple H and John Cena vs CM Punk will be in the Showcase going over several of their matches from WWE history, including Shawn Michaels’ return to the ring at SummerSlam 2002 in his unsanctioned match with Triple H.

The Showcase will look over every match including the stories leading up to them. So this will be similar to what WWE games have done in the past. However, this time 2K Sports has taken things a little further than just using a past story. WWE 2K15 will also have a Career Mode, of which is similar to the 2K Sports career modes seen in NBA 2K and MLB 2K, both of which have been rated as excellent by gamers over the years.

This Career Mode will include NXT Superstars and Divas. While WWE and 2K did not release those names today, we will know them in the game. However, early rumors claim that Sami Zayn, Bo Dallas, Paige, Emma, Charlotte, The Ascension, and Adrian Neville will be in the game.

The game will also include the first WWE video game appearance of Sting. So we can play as The Icon and have some of the matches we have always wanted to see from Sting vs The Rock and Sting vs Shawn Michaels to Sting vs Triple H, and of course, Sting vs The Undertaker.

Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold are also involved in the game as legends we can play as, which will be awesome to see.

Some downloadable content will most likely be available in the holiday season or first part of the year. There are very few rumors on who 2K might be planning to add to the DLC list for WWE 2K15, seeing as they have already planned to add some NXT stars to the game. However, some feel that any of the NXT stars that might debut in the next month or so could be involved. We will have to see about this. however.

Is your favorite Superstar or Diva in the game? Who would you add to WWE 2K15 for a DLC? Let me know in the comment section below.
