Jill Duggar Sends Special Engagement Congratulations To Sister Jessa Via Instagram
Jill Duggar has taken to Instagram to publicly congratulate her sister, Jessa Duggar, on her recent engagement to boyfriend Ben Seewald. According to a recent report by The Inquisitr, after courting for 11 months, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald decided to take the next step in their relationship and announced their engagement on Friday, August 15.
According to Us Weekly, Jill Duggar took to Instagram a few hours after the engagement announcement was made and sent out a special congratulations to the happy couple:
“Congratulations on your engagement @jessaseewald @ben_seewald!” Jill, 23, captioned a picture of her sister Jessa and future brother-in-law, Ben. “We are so happy for y’all! #benseewald #jessaseewald.”
According to Us Weekly, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald said in a statement that they were “so blessed to be engaged”:
“God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun! We are thrilled to see what the future holds — especially the wedding bells!”
The Inquisitr stated that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald first met in church, and shortly after asked permission to begin texting and calling each other. While the conversations reportedly were originally to discuss scripture and question each other about theology, it quickly moved onto the topic of courtship.
Before the official announcement was made, Jessa Duggar had many wondering whether she was secretly engaged — or even married — following the changing of her Twitter handle to Jessa Seewald. In another report by The Inquisitr, the two recently celebrated the 11-month anniversary of their courtship. Duggar took to her own Instagram to post a photo of some beautiful pearls that she was given by Ben with a beautifully handwritten letter:
“My Dearest Jessa Lauren: These elegant pearls looked quite majestic when I picked them out. However, they were a bit lonely… what good are such beautiful pearls if not to have the grace of being worn by one so elegant and majestic as yourself? These pearls were lonely… just like I am when we’re apart; but not anymore! I love you my precious princess! Your Man – Ben”
Jessa is now the third Duggar to make the transition from courtship to engagement and, soon, marriage. Older brother Josh was the first to be married, and sister Jill recently tied the knot with her love, Derick Dillard, earlier this summer.
