Halle Berry’s Sex Scene in ‘Monster’s Ball’ ‘Felt So Real’ Says Billy Bob Thornton

Halle Berry is one of the sexiest women in Hollywood, and it is no surprise that her former co-stars cannot forget about her.

Billy Bob Thornton recently shared some memories of the 48-year-old actress and their interactions on the set of Monster’s Ball with The Huffington Post.

Monster’s Ball is the story of a poor Southern woman, played by Halle Berry, who falls in love with a prison guard, played by Billy Bob Thornton, after her husband has been executed. In the movie, Berry and her co-star shared a steamy sex scene that has been embedded in the minds of many viewers for years.

Thornton obviously knows that the sex scene in Monster’s Ball is still quite popular on the internet, and he decided to indulge fans with what it really felt like to film the famous sex scene with Halle Berry.

“It felt so real when we were doing it that [we felt] the heaviness surrounding the circumstances in the story. I think maybe that’s why it comes across so well on screen, because it was two desperate human beings in this moment alone, and we kind of were alone.”

Even though Halle Berry is arguably one of the most beautiful women on the planet, Thornton said that he felt “pretty exposed” more than he felt excitement or anything else when he shot the sex scene with her.

Halle Berry won the first Academy Award for Best Actress given to a black woman for her acting skills in the movie, and the raw and graphic sex scene has been shared countless times on media sites all over the world, according to WebProNews.

According to The Guardian, Halle Berry’s performance even surprised herself and she was glad that she did not have to shoot the scene over and over.

“We both agreed to be uninhibited with our bodies, so it wasn’t just the woman who was being exposed, and we just said, ‘Let’s service these characters.’ We only had to do it one time, which is good, because you don’t really want to have to go there that many times…”

Billy Bob could not conceal his happiness in co-starring with Halle in the 2001 award-winning movie and would have not had it any other way.

“When I was growing up, I obviously didn’t know who Halle Berry was, but if I had known I would have made sure it happened.” Thornton gushed. “I would have written ‘Monster’s Ball’ myself immediately.”
