Singer Christina Aguilera is not being fired from the hit NBC series The Voice as rumors have suggested.
The rumor started on Monday when several X17 tipsters said the pop singer was being let go because all of her time on set was being spent with boyfriend Matt Rutledge and not with the singers she was suppose to be tutoring.
According to one source who claimed to be close to the shows producers:
“She doesn’t spend time with her contestants like she’s supposed to. She doesn’t participate,” while adding “She spends most of her time on set with her boyfriend.”
Realizing the PR nightmare they had on their hands Paul Telegdy, the network’s Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming revealed:
“There is absolutely no truth to the rumor.”
Christina’s own reps also reached out, pointing out that the show has become a big hit thanks to her work and the work of her three fellow judges Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levin who fans have come to expect on the show.
Fans of The Voice can catch season 2 when it debuts directly following the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 5. After that airing the show will then be back in the regular Monday @ 8PM/ET time slow starting on Monday February 6.
Will you be tuning into season 2 of The Voice and would you have been willing to tune in if Christina Aguilera was replaced. I have a feeling my second question would be largely based on who took over for the singer.
