Watch: Three-Month Old Baby’s Reaction Hearing A Lion’s Roar For The First Time

Babies have the best reactions to just about anything, because everything is new to them. This kid’s reaction to hearing the roar of a lion for the first time, though, is just priceless.

The video comes by way of YouTube user Michael J. Smith, and it shows just what it purports to show: a super cute baby’s super cute reaction to hearing a lion’s roar for the first time.

Of course, the cute little guy is hearing a recorded version from a children’s book, but he doesn’t appear to know the difference. Ah, babies, they’re so gullible.

We’re in agreement with one of the commenters on the YouTube video, who said the baby’s reaction, while cute, is really just his “caveman brain saying ‘Run!'” That sounds about right, given the initial look on his face, a combination of “Wait was that what I thought it –” and “I’ve got to get out of here somehow!” Add to that the baby’s freezing and then kind of jerky motions, and, yeah, we’d say there was a bit of fight-or-flight flashing through the baby’s head.

Another commenter notes that the reaction appeared to be “Natural instinct… you will lose it with TV.” A bit cynical on the second part, but we’ve got to agree with that first part.
