Krusty Krab Restaurant Opens: ‘Spongebob’ Fans Want To Go ‘ASAP’

Many Spongebob Squarepants fans were excited to hear about an actual Krusty Krab restaurant opening that they took to Twitter to say they want to go “ASAP.”

According to a report from the Epoch Times, the restaurant is being run by a company called Salta Burgers. So far, it looks like there is only one location for the restaurant, and that is the Palestinian city of Ramallah.

Guests will be able to order an actual Krabby Patty and other items made popular by the Nickelodeon show. Some of the other items include a Krabby Salad and Kelp Juice.

The company’s Facebook page has numerous photos of the interior of the restaurant, and there are even statues of characters from the show.

So, even though a lot of people are excited about a real Krusty Krab opening, most may not be able to attend it. But that didn’t stop them from expressing their joy on Twitter.

This won’t be the first time someone has opened a restaurant inspired by Spongebob Squarepants. A report from Heavy states that there was one in Santa Elena, Costa Rica that opened in 2012. It was only open for one year before closing down.

While many are excited about the opening of the restaurant, there were some Twitter users who were wondering why “Krusty Krab ASAP” was trending, and other topics they felt to be more important were not.

In a related report from The Inquisitr, a new Spongebob Squarepants movie is on its way. The film, subtitled Sponge out of Water, releases to theaters on February 6, 2015.
