Lauren Bacall: Hollywood Remembers A Legend
Lauren Bacall succumbed to a stroke yesterday while the country was still reeling from the tragic demise of Robin Williams. Whereas Robin Williams left us far too early, Lauren Bacall treated us all to a 70 year career having appeared in her first film To Have and Have Not in 1944 at 20 years of age.
Over the years, Lauren Bacall remained a sultry stalwart, her allure and appeal combined with a confidence and control that made her irresistable and terrifyingly intimidating at the same time. America fell in love with Lauren Bacall early, and that love rarely wavered over the last 70 years. As such, it was no wonder as to the immediate outpouring of love and respect via social media by Hollywood when Lauren Bacall passed.
