Son Buys Dream Car For His Mother And Surprises Her! [Video]

A 1973 model Saab 99 EMS Coupe is not a car that usually would make you drool. However, for Canadian citizen Cory Wadden’s mother, it was her dream car, the one she always wanted to own. However, Cory’s mother could not realize her dream thanks to her job and the responsibility of bringing up her child.

However, after Cory Wadden learned about his mothers dream car, he spent the better part of the past year saving money and looking to get one for his mother. When he did eventually find it, he bought it, restored it, and surprised his mother as shown in the video above.

In the video, his mother is shown coming down a flight of stairs to their doorway where the dream car has been positioned. Before opening the door, Cory hands over an envelope containing the photo that his mom had shown him when he asked what her favorite, dream car was. The envelope also held another thing — the keys to her dream car! It is obvious that his mother did figure that her son had indeed bought her favorite car before the door was opened. Her reaction was as expected, and she almost fell on to the floor, unable to contain her happiness. The video has since then gone viral.

According to Yahoo News, Corey Wadden had set himself a goal to earn a million dollars before he turned 25. He wanted to provide his mother enough money so that she can retire from her job and enjoy the rest of her life. While Corey hasn’t managed to achieve that dream yet, he did manage to get his mother her dream car — an achievement in itself.

The Saab 99 EMS Coupe used to be sporty car that the now-defunct company used to sell in North America in the mid-70s. Wadden’s mother used to always talk about this car — to the point he one day asked her mother about it and she showed him how it looked. It took over a year for him to find the dream car of the exact color, buy it from the original owner, and prepare it for her.

While he could have certainly got a better car for her with the money he used to buy this old car, there is nothing like owning a car you have always yearned for. So what if it came a few decades late?
