Pit Bull Abuse Video Shows Man Slamming Puppy Dog Into The Street With Leash

The abuse of a pit bull was caught on video and showed 53-year-old Robert Martin swinging his pit bull puppy through the air by the leash only to slam the poor dog into the ground. When 46-year-old Lindsey Cooks warned him about animal abuse, the response was cursing and racial slurs. That’s when Cooks decided he needed to record the entire incident.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, a pit bull puppy was dragged behind truck for miles in exchange for the animal abuser being given drugs and alcohol by the dog’s owner. Everyone could not help but feel sorry for the pit bull dog named Herman who stood guard over a fallen friend who was hit by a car.

Cooks said he was waiting for the bus when he noticed a shirtless man swinging a yelping pitbull puppy by its leash. Cooks tried warning Martin about his behavior but the response was just as nasty as his actions:

“I told him, ‘that’s cruelty to animals,’ and then he said ‘shut up!’ and the n-word. He took the dog up and swung the dog on his head… so I called the police.”

The witness decided to record the video to prove the animal abuse and then called 911. When police arrived, Lt. Martinez of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station said the video was enough to arrest Martin on suspicion of felony animal cruelty. Cooks said he spoke to Martin’s neighbors and it turns out this wasn’t the first time such an incident had occurred:

“I have a dog too, you know? You don’t treat a dog like that! Apparently, that’s not the first time he did it, and nobody said anything? I couldn’t do that… I had to let somebody know.”

Fortunately, the six-month old pit bull puppy named Daisy is doing well at the animal shelter. Sgt. Montez of the Lancaster Animal Shelter says the dog appears timid and they’ll be monitoring the pit bull for at least two weeks before putting her up for adoption:

“We want to bring her out of the trauma by having her in a home with one of our fosters so that when she does come back for adoption, she’ll be that happy puppy.”

Robert Martin, on the other hand, is not a happy man. He remains in jail in lieu of the $20,000 bail.
