Zelda Williams Gets Support From Frances Bean Cobain, Thousands Donate To St. Jude’s

Robin Williams’ daughter, Zelda Williams, got a very sweet message of support from Frances Bean Cobain on Twitter. According to Radar Online, Kurt Cobain’s daughter reached out to Zelda one day after her dad, Robin, was found dead in his northern Calif. home. Of course Frances knows how it is to lose a father, and so her words were very real and very kind. Although Frances wasn’t even 2-years-old when her dad committed suicide, she can relate on some level.

Zelda Williams posted a heartfelt message about her father on Twitter after his passing. The 25-year-old actress was extremely close to her dad, and she will miss him a great deal. Of course none of this is going to be easy for Zelda or her two brothers, but hopefully they will all be able to find comfort in the wonderful memories that they have of their dad.

The quote that Zelda posted in honor of her father was from the French novel The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The quote in and of itself is simply perfect, but one can’t help but wonder if the novel held a special meaning in Robin Williams’ life. Perhaps it was his favorite.

Robin Williams and his daughter spent a lot of time together over the years. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Williams also had two sons. His eldest son, Zak, was from his first marriage to Valerie Velardi (1977-1988). Zelda and her brother, Cody, 23, were from Williams’ second marriage to Marsha Garces (1989-2008).

Williams was married to Susan Schneider (2011) at the time of his death. She released a statement following the news, saying that she was “utterly heartbroken.” She also asked the media for privacy and respect during this extremely difficult time.

Zelda Williams took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to thank people for making donations to St. Jude’s in her dad’s honor. St. Jude’s was a charity very close to Robin Williams.
