Heather Locklear’s DUI Case Is Dismissed

Heather Locklear pleaded no contest to reckless driving in Santa Barbara in court on Friday, and her DUI charge was dismissed in exchange.

Do you remember way back when Heather was reported to be “driving erratically”? She had been formally charged with driving under the influence in November (and provided one of the saddest mug shots of the year, above), but it looks like things aren’t so “rough” now. From what she called “personal issues” to some ‘08 rehab time, she’s definitely going to try to make up for the past year. 

Locklear didn’t get off scot-free, though. She’s landed three years of formal probation, a $700 fine, and a 12-hour DMV safety course as part of her plea deal. Maybe this is a disguised good start to the year, because just a month ago, she was looking at up to six months in a county jail.
