Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian’s $25,000 Cat Fight
Kourtney Kardashian is known for having an eye when it comes to interior design, so it was no surprise that sister Khloe asked for Kourtney’s help in decorating her new mansion. What was a surprise is that Kourtney, in return, is trying to charge sister Khloe a $25,000 fee for her services…and Khloe isn’t having it.
Khloe bought her new mansion, located in Calabasas, California, from Justin Bieber last May, for a reported $7.2 million after selling the home she shared with former husband Lamar Odom. The house is reportedly a whopping 10,000 square feet, and boasts of 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, on a 1.28 acre property in an exclusive gated community. Despite all the space and luxury finishes, Khloe made it clear that the 19-year-old’s home didn’t suit her tastes and that she had major plans to overhaul Bieber’s former home.
Enter Kourtney, the design queen, whose own gorgeous Calabasas home, with its unique but stylish perspective, appeared as a spread for InStyle.
In previews for Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the sisters Khloe and Kourtney are touring Khloe’s lush property, which looks amazing – no surprise, considering Kourtney’s stunning taste in interiors. All seems fine until Kourtney tells Khloe that she hasn’t found anything “grand enough” for a particular space, adding that she was going to continue looking… and after that, the only issue that needed to be settled was her fee. Her $25,000 fee, to be exact.
Khloe is clearly shocked, but in true Kardashian form, quickly shoots back at Kourtney, saying: “Mmm… for $25,000? You must be out of your mind. Get over yourself.”
In turn, Kourtney questions Khloe as to why Khloe would expect her to put so much time and effort into something, if not in return for a financial gain? At the end, Kourtney is shown wheeling around and heading fast for the front door, yelling: ”I’m not gonna show you the rest of my work. No. And enjoy living here with your disgusting, cheesy finishes.”
Whether or not Khloe’s home interior tastes actually run to the “disgusting and cheesy,” one thing is clear – this probably isn’t the end of the argument. With $25,000 at stake, it’s almost certain the Kardashian sisters will hash this out again at some point. After all, it involves money and sister drama – the very things that the Kardashian empire is built upon!
Was it reasonable for Kourtney to expect a fee in return for her help? Or is Khloe right to be shocked and surprised that her sister, whose net worth is estimated around $20 million, wants to make money off of her?
