Chris Pratt Is The New Indiana Jones?

Chris Pratt may not be the official new Indiana Jones, but fans of Pratt believe he should be. With Pratts’ leading role in the new film Guardians Of The Galaxy receiving a 92% critics approval rating, and a 96% audience approval rating per Rotten Tomatoes, his career seems to be taking off rather well. And we still have Jurassic World to look forward to coming June 2015. According to Fandango:

“He’s (Pratt) got the good looks, the charisma, the dance moves and a wicked sense of humor. He’s everything you want in a leading man, really, and his role as Star-Lord in Guardians has already drawn comparisons to a young Harrison Ford.”

At 34-years-old, Chris Pratt has come a long way in quickly skyrocketing his career from portraying Andy Dwyer on NBC‘s Parks and Recreation to being seen as the “next big action hero,” according to Geeks Of Doom. But Marvel helped to boost him from what Geeks Of Doom consider “geekdom to fandom.” Below is Chris Pratt before he started working out for Guardians of the Galaxy along with a photo of 13 months after he began preparing for the film. While Pratt fans are pushing for him to become the next Indiana Jones, Disney may have already made up their minds on someone else. A previous vampire favorite. If you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s Robert Pattinson. Movie Pilot declares that Disney feels it is time for 71-year-old Harrison Ford to pass the whip on to a much younger version of the character. According to Daily Star:

“Disney is looking at its long-term options for the Indiana Jones franchise. They feel that the series has huge potential on many levels, starting with the films leading to other spin-offs like games which can generate more money than movies. Rob is top of the initial list because he has showed his acting stripes away from Twilight. But the competition will be stiff.”

Currently, Pattinson isn’t a shoe-in, and there are concerns that Indiana Jones fans won’t welcome Pattinson into that famous role. There could be alternatives, and thanks to photo shopped photos from Movie Pilot, we can take a look at some other possibilities.
