Scienceblogs Hit New Highs
Blog network ScienceBlogs, a network I haven’t visited in nearly 3 years, has announced some impressive traffic numbers today.
The long standing network hit 14 million page views for the six months to June 30, a 60% increase over the same period last year.
I first wrote about ScienceBlogs back in January 2006. The network initially launched with a Glam Media style model, with a couple of owned blogs, then a lot more independent blogs creating collective niche focused advertising inventory. Today it would appear that the network consists primarily of owned blogs. Bucking a trend from the time to push every site onto its own URL, ScienceBlogs’ blogs all appear under the Scienceblogs.com and Scienceblogs.de URLs.
ScienceBlogs other interesting claim to fame: they’re top science sellers for Amazon’s Kindle as well
