‘Justice League’ Movie Coming Sooner Than Fans Think

A Justice League film might be coming to cinemas sooner than most movie fans originally thought.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justicewill help to expand DC’s burgeoning cinematic universe beyond Man Of Steel, the 2013 blockbuster that rebooted Superman with Henry Cavill in the role, by introducing Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

It’s then thought that a Justice League film will follow, which will see Batman and Superman joined by Aquaman, The Flash, The Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Shazam. However, many movie fans assumed that this tantalizing cinematic concoction of superheroes wouldn’t be released until at least 2018.

However, Warner Bros.’ president of domestic distribution, Dan Fellman, has now teased that the film might be coming sooner than fans think.

After being asked by Entertainment Weekly about the possibility of following Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice with a quick sequel that will capitalize on the film’s potential success while also introducing fans to a cavalcade of iconic DC superheroes, Fellman teased: “While it hasn’t been officially announced, I think it’s a pretty good bet.”

Earlier this week DC announced the release dates for 9 untitled movies, which will hit cinemas between 8/05/2016 and 11/20/2020. Immediately fans started to speculate over what they could actually be with Shazam, Justice League, Sandman, The Flash and Green Lantern, Wonder woman, Man Of Steel 2, Batman Reboot and Justice League 2 being suggested.

Meanwhile, the fact that Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has a pretty long production schedule has led some insiders to predict that Justice League might actually be shot back-to-back with Zack Snyder’s follow-up to Man Of Steel. This might mean that Justice League could come as soon as the summer of 2016, which would be just a few months after Batman and Superman’s own cinematic tussle.

However the safe bet is on Justice League being released the year after, on 06/23/2017. This would give the studio time to build up anticipation ahead of its release. Currently Marvel have an untitled film project planned for May 5, 2017, while Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 is lined up to hit cinemas on July 28, 2017, too.

According to Comic Book, Felman also confirmed that Warner Bros. intend to actually confirm which movies will make up the aforementioned nine untitled DC Comics films period by the end of August. Which should immediately help to clear up all of the confusion.

When do you think Justice League will be released?
