Elderly Hong Kong Parents Cooked And Put In Lunch Boxes By Deranged Son, Friend

In what has to be one of the most gruesome instances of crime you might have ever heard of, a Hong Kong man is standing trial for the brutal murder of his own parents. The man allegedly killed his father and mother, cut their bodies into pieces, cooked and packed them in to lunchboxes last March, reports Channel News Asia. The man arrested has been identified as 30-year-old Henry Chau who along with his friend and accomplice Tse Chun-kei, 36, killed the elderly couple.

The severed heards of Henry Chau’s father Chau Wang-ki, 65 and his mother Siu Yuet-yee, 62 were found stuffed inside two refrigerators by police officials. Police also found other body parts inside the apartment block on Hong Kong’s 38 Fuk Chak Street in Tai Kok Tsu where the gruesome crime unfolded. According to police officials, Henry and his accomplice had ran out of space in their refrigerators and had to salt, cook and pack body parts of Henry’s parents into lunchboxes in order to hide the body parts from being discovered. The men allegedly cooked the body parts so that they looked like barbecued pork – before dumping the cooked parts into rubbish bins.

According to reports, police discovered the bodies a day after the elderly couple was reported missing by Henry himself after he was questioned by friends and relatives over the whereabouts of his parents. The couple had suddenly went missing. Henry initially told people and police officials that they had gone to visit mainland China to “have fun”. Officials later did DNA tests to confirm that the bodies were indeed that of Henry’s parents

In the court, Henry has pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Both the men have however denied two counts of murders but have admitted that they did prevent the dead couple’s lawful burial.

The decision to kill both of his parents was planned and pre-meditated for months, prosecutors allege. Henry and his accomplice had brought knives, refrigerators, microwave ovens and a rice cooker months in advance to prepare for the crime.

Henry also admitted that he and his accomplice had planned to mislead the police to ensure that his parents’ murder was seen as a missing person’s case and not a murder case. He was also a member of an WhatsApp messaging group where he described himself as a psychopath and is reported to have said;

“I cannot empathise with people’s pain because of my experience from childhood and adolescence.”

A Sky News report adds that Henry killed his parents because they were in his opinion “total losers”. He claimed that his emotional connection with his parents led him to a stage of mental breakdown.
