Mariah Carey Divorce: Nick Cannon Leaves Because Of Diva Behavior

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are reportedly on the verge of getting a divorce, and her diva behavior has been cited as the main reason for the demise of their relationship.

The duo recently sold their house, while rumors that both Carey and Cannon are unhappy have been around for the last 12 months. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Cannon has grown weary of the singer’s bizarre antics, which has included wearing extravagant clothes just to visit a playground. Meanwhile, Carey has her own reasons for wanting out of their courtship too as she believes that he has been an absent father.

Carey and Cannon are the mother and father to the fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon, who were born in April 2011. The pair have been married for over 6 years now, after they exchanged vows at Carey’s private Bahamas estate, which is located on Windermere Island, on April 30, 2008.

It’s been reported that their relationship started to go down hill once Cannon’s career started to progress. Before then the musician/actor was willing to help his wife in any fashion that she desired, which is exactly what Carey expected from her new husband. But as he started to attain more work he began to concentrate more on his own career rather than catering to every demand.

Last year it’s believed that the duo finally decided enough was enough, and over the last few months they have been finalising a deal to sell their family home in Bel-Air. It’s now been alleged that while Cannon will stay on the west coast while Mariah is set to move, with their children, close to 3,000 miles away to New York.

In Touch Magazine’s upcoming new edition also reports that at the premiere for Hercules, Carey, who was on her own, simply stated, “no comment,” when asked about how her marriage was going. According to close friends and family of the duo the divorce is now simply a formality, even though Carey has unveiled some new rules that, if Cannon followed them, might help to save their marriage. This would include moving to the east coast on a permanent basis, something that Cannon can’t do because of his work obligations.

It’s believed that if Cannon and Carey did divorce then this would spark a $495million court battle, a total that was reached because of her astounding musical career and the fact that Cannon has earned a lot of money as a producer for Nickelodeon.
