Rampling Ad: 68-Year-Old Charlotte Rampling Stuns In New NARS Lipstick Ad

A new Rampling ad for NARS has people doing a double take!

According to The SpreadIt, Charlotte Rampling is part of a new ad campaign for the cosmetics giant. She is representing the company’s new Audacious Lipstick Collection which hits stores on Sept. 1. According to the report, the stunning black and white photo was taken by François Nars, the founder of NARS. He seems to really like Rampling and is excited that she is his new leading lady.

The legendary British actress was chosen for the ad because she gives off a very strong sense of being without being too overbearing. She is described as a “natural beauty that feels strong, yet relatable.” Do you agree?

The Rampling ad will soon be featured in fashion magazines from Vogue to Glamour. While François Nars really could have chosen any model or actress for the ad, but he went with Charlotte Rampling for a number of reasons. For starters, she is seasoned in the industry. In 2004, Rampling was chosen to represent Marc Jacobs and in 2011, she was the inspiration behind the Louis Vuitton campaign. Secondly, she’s beautiful. That’s a given.

According to NewsOXY, the new lip color and ad is part of the company’s 20th anniversary. What seems super-interesting is that Rampling is modeling lip color… in a black and white, colorless photo. In fact, it is hard to even know which color Rampling is wearing on her lips. So maybe black and white isn’t the best way to showcase lip color… but Rampling’s photo has an awful lot of people talking, which is really the point anyway, right?

The Rampling ad is simply stunning and hopefully it will do the job. And as Charlotte Rampling moves on to new things, someone else has made headlines for picking up the pieces, so to speak. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Jessica Lange was named the new face of Marc Jacobs earlier this year. The 65-year-old actress looked stunning in her ad photos as well, perhaps teaming up with Rampling (albeit unintentionally) to let the world know that beauty isn’t a number.

Being in your 60’s doesn’t mean that you aren’t beautiful or that you cannot be beautiful. The fact that these huge companies are bringing on seasoned actors and models proves that women actually become more beautiful with age — which in and of itself defies the industry altogether. And that is simply fabulous.
