Toy Story Characters Make Room For Dangerously Delusional Dinosaurs In New Episode From ABC, San Diego Comic-Con Attendees Get First Peek

Toy Story fans will have an unusual, but equally exciting time owing to a rather interesting show that ABC will soon air. Andy’s toys will soon be seen on the TV screen taking on dinosaurs.

The attendees at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con will be getting a first taste of the ABC TV special, “Toy Story That Time Forgot,” which will air in December. Last fall, ABC aired a delightful Halloween Special starring the Toy Story franchise’s beloved playthings. After getting highly promising ratings, ABC has decided to offer another similar mash-up that will air on the network later this holiday season.

Toy Story That Time Forgot finds the heroes engaged in a tussle with a gang of new action figures. The gang of notorious dinosaurs is led by Reptillus Maximus. Incidentally, much like Buzz Lightyear in the franchise’s first film, Reptillus Maximus and his crew aren’t aware that they’re just toys. Taking on the role very seriously, Reptillus promises to be a really bad and unusually healthy villain. Reptillus is being voiced by Grey’s Anatomy star Kevin McKidd. His accomplice is Trixie the triceratops (voiced by “30 Rock’s” Kristen Schaal).

The Villainous Characters Aren’t Aware They Are Just Toys In Toy Story That Time Forgot

The holiday special, which will be Pixar’s second TV special after Toy Story of Terror, will feature all your beloved childhood toys from cowboy Woody (Tom Hanks), adventurous spaceman Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), sweet cow-girl Jessie (Joan Cusack), lovable dinosaur Rex (Wallace Shawn), Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles), and Mr. Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton), reported International Business Times.

But this half-hour show finds the original stars of Andy’s room having to share their toy chests with new playthings being added to the gang. Needless to say, these new and supposedly the coolest set of action figures quickly turn out to be dangerously delusional. Interestingly, the action doesn’t take place in Andy’s room anymore since he gave all his treasured toys to a rather shy Bonnie in the last part of Toy Story. Bonnie is an innocent and sweet four year old, who shares Andy’s passion and commitment to toys.

San Diego Comic-Con promises to be very engaging this year, and not just due to the privilege of getting a sneak-peek at Toy Story That Time Forgot, but McKidd and Schaal—not to mention copies of the poster—who will be on hand for an hour-long question and answer session reported Entertainment Weekly. Apart from Toy Story, fans of Brave will also get to meet director Steve Purcell, head of story Derek Thompson, producer Galyn Susman, and composer Michael Giacchino.
