Kristin Cavallari Weight Loss: New Mom Drops Baby Weight Like a Hot Potato


Kristin Cavallari’s weight loss is practically a national obsession. Every time this mother-of-two sits down for an interview, the topic of baby weight invariably raises its ugly head. Only in the case of Kristin Cavallari, it’s not so ugly after all.

After giving birth to her second child, Kristin Cavallari dropped the weight like a hot potato. Now everyone wants to know her secret. She spoke with E! Online on Friday. Predictably, the topic of weight loss came up during the interview. Just three weeks after giving birth, the married mom is slim, trim, and enviably slender. How did she do it?

Cavallari confided that she is careful about what she eats. “I’m a freak about what I put in my mouth,” she said, confessing to reading food labels constantly and avoiding toxic chemicals. Let’s face it: Everyone should avoid toxic chemicals. So that’s some pretty sound advice, but will it make you lose weight?

In addition, Kristin Cavallari credited her workouts and breastfeeding, “which burns a ton of calories,” for dropping those unwanted pounds. The married mom also gave a shout out to her mother; apparently the women of her family were blessed with good genes. She certainly looks fantastic for a woman who gave birth mere months ago. Looking at her toned and fit form, it’s hard to believe that she has two children who are both under the age of two.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler were married in June of last year, so they are still technically newlyweds who are embarking on the journey of marriage and parenthood simultaneously. According to Contact Music, Cavallari also shared an intimate look at the challenges of motherhood. Her son Camden is reportedly having some difficulty adjusting to the presence of the new baby. During feeding time, the one-year-old threw a sippy cup at his little brother’s head and kicked him. So Cavallari does have to face some of the challenges of motherhood, but losing the baby weight isn’t one of them.

As reported by The Inquisitr, Cavallari already spoke out about losing the baby weight earlier this month. At the time, she attributed her impressive weight loss to a strict and dedicated exercise routine. She claimed that diet had very little to do with her losing weight. However, she also outlined what she does eat, and it’s all healthy fare from fish, bison, and chicken to the veggies, eggs, and smoothies that she and hubby Jay Cutler enjoy.
