Nina Dobrev Feeling ‘Awkward’ About Budding Relationship Between Ian Somerhalder And Nikki Reed

Nina Dobrev is reportedly feeling a little awkward with those in her friends circle, given the fact that close friend, Nikki Reed, and her ex, Ian Somerhalder, are reportedly Hollywood’s new thing. Will Nina give the new couple her blessings, or are things about to get a little weird for the trio?

Nina Dobrev, 25, and Vampire Diaries co-star, Ian Somerhalder, 35, officially broke off their steamy relationship back in May of 2013, but that didn’t stop rumors from flying about their on-again, off-again relationship. In fact, The Inquisitr recently announced that Nina and Ian were back together as recently as early July, and while fans seem to hold out hopes for the couple, it looks like those rumors either weren’t true, or may have been simply a publicity stunt.

In another report by The Inquisitr, a week or so later, rumors began flying of a possible budding relationship between Ian and Nina’s close friend, Nikki Reed. Ian and Nikki had been seen out and about for some time, but many believed that was just as friends. Photos then began surfacing of the two in situations that suggested that there was something more between the two. According to The Inquisitr, Ian and Nikki were spotted getting close and cozy on a few different occasions.

Hollywood Life announced today that the Ian and Nikki are officially a couple and that doesn’t seem to be settling very well with Nina. According to the celebrity gossip site, Nina Dobrev is reportedly feeling very awkward about the whole situation:

“It’s a little awkward right now because they have the same friend circle as Nina and no one is quite sure how to react,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life.

The Hollywood Gossip is reporting that Nikki has already fallen head over heels for Ian, and the couple is reportedly waiting and hoping for Nina’s approval. While they may be waiting to Nina’s approval, that hasn’t stopped Nikki from talking about how much she likes Ian. A source for The Hollywood Gossip said the following:

“She’s already saying that she’s in love with Ian, they spend all their free time together and their even talking about adopting a rescue dog together.”

While news of the couple is rather new, things seem to be progressing rather quickly between the two. It’s no wonder that Nina Dobrev may be feeling a little awkward about the whole situation.
