Chrissy Teigen: ‘Sports Illustrated’ Model Devours Pizza On Dujour Magazine Cover

Chrissy Teigen is talking about her relationship with food in the latest edition of Dujour magazine.

In the cover photo, the former Sports Illustrated model shows off her toned legs as she digs into a cheesy slice of pizza. A video from the cover shoot shows how the picture came together.

Despite her smile, Chrissy said she has a difficult relationship with pizza.

” I am really horrible at making pizza actually… For some reason doughs and pastas and noodles I am really bad at. Because I like a meal to take four or five hours. Those kind of dishes have to be quick and on your toes”.

In the Dujour interview, Chrissy shares her favorite culinary moments. While she is known for her good taste, she said her jugement failed her during a trip to Brazil:

“Eating a raw cashew nut out of the stem… was one of the biggest mistakes of my life… I scooped it out with a butter knife, and I ate it and within 10 minutes I was hallucinating. I was seeing purple blobs… We were at dinner with people and my eyes started twitching and then my tongue got really slippery”.

Thankfully, Chrissy’s husband John Legend was there to take care of her. She told Dujour that she enjoys cooking for the soul singer; making his favorites “roasted whole branzino or Osso Buco”.

While most models are better known for what they are not eating, Chrissy has embraced the foodie movement with enthusiasm. However, she has received backlash over her size. As Chrissy explains to Dujour, she was once sent home from a Forever 21 photo shoot because they thought she was too fat.

“I hate Forever 21,” Chrissy said. “I hate [them]. Honestly [they’re] the worst.”

Chrissy is still fighting haters over her size. As reported by the Inquisitr, in April she blasted her critics on social media:

“Honestly f*** you all. Why do I even open anything up to you. In what other real life situation would you walk up to someone and tell them they’re fat or gained weight? Seriously you are POS”.

This bluntness has gained her supporters, with Bustle dubbing her “an unapologetic foodie who will not be shamed”. The Daily Beast is also a fan, writing:

“The shining facet of Teigen’s relatability comes not with her gorgeous looks or hilarious personality, but with her love for food”.
