‘Scarface’ Star Steven Bauer Dating 18 Year Old, Who Is Both Beautiful And Brilliant

Hollywood actor Steven Bauer, 57, of Scarface fame has a new girlfriend. Lyda Loudon is beautiful. She is smart and witty. She is passionate about the causes she supports. And she is 18.

December-May romances are nothing new to Hollywood, but when they hit the headlines, criticism and judgment is often quick to follow, even from those who profess tolerance. Steven Bauer’s relationship with the lovely Lyda Loudon is no exception.

The Bauer-Loudon duo made the gossip columns, starting with Us Weekly, after being spotted in Hollywood on the Red Carpet at the premiere of comedy Magic in the Moonlight, hosted by Sabra at the Linwood Dunn Theater on July 21.

Steven Bauer is a Cuban-American with a long Hollywood history in film and television. Bauer portrayed Manny Ribera in the 1983 classic Scarface. Steven currently plays Avi in the Showtime series Ray Donovan, and was a part of the series Breaking Bad until Steven Bauer’s character was killed off.

There is much about young Lyda Loudon to impress any man, even Steven Bauer.

Even though Lyda Loudon is only 18, she has already built up an impressive resume as a journalist, CEO of a non-profit group, The L3 Foundation, and political analyst. According to her website, Loudon hosts a weekly radio show Sarcasm Overdose, a show in which the unconventional teen fuses “conservative commentary and pop culture.” At age 14, Lyda founded a national organization – the Tea Party Youth. One thing is certain: Lyda Loudon is not at all like most 18-year-olds.

Perhaps that is part of her appeal to her new suitor, Steven Bauer. Aside from the fact that she is drop-dead gorgeous.

Activism is important to both Steven Bauer and Lyda. Together with Platinum songwriter Glenn Goss, Steven Bauer founded an anti-bullying group, For Love Is All, which brings together artists and creative media to combat bullying. Reportedly, one of Steven Bauer’s own sons was bullied.

As the son of Cuban refugees, Steven Bauer is a committed patriot, so the love of America and freedom is certainly a factor that unites the pair.

No, Lyda Loudon wasn’t neglected or unloved at home and looking for a father figure in Steven Bauer. That speculation may quickly be put to rest. Anyone who has spent time listening to either of her parents can see clearly see that Lyda is well-loved and respected by her close-knit family.

Lyda is the daughter of former Missouri Senator John Loudon and popular talk show host, author, and PolitiChick, Dr. Gina Loudon. Dr. Gina is one of the “20 Hottest Conservative Women in the New Media” for 2014, as reported previously by The Inquisitr.

Lyda Loudon has been a regular guest on her mother’s programs, offering perceptive insight regarding issues of the day. It is clear that her perspective has always been valued by her family. An avid researcher like her parents, Lyda has never been shy about voicing her opinion.

She is described by her mother on WND as always being “a little headstrong, and she liked to do things in her own way. Many adults she encountered in her life commented that she was an ‘old soul.'”

Is her soul old enough to relate to Steven Bauer as an equal? Actually, this is quite possible.

I had the opportunity to meet Lyda at an event some time ago, and I must agree that she is an “old soul.” I found her to be wise beyond her years, able to comment intelligently on issues that matter, as well as able to hold her own in any conversation with adults, with an ability that far exceeds that of most of her peers. This quality likely attracted Steven Bauer to the young journalist. “While just 18,” says Dr. Gina, “she is not like the 18-year-olds the gossip magazines are used to seeing.”

Though the concept of her May-December romance with Steven Bauer may be a bit jarring, history is full of people who fall in love across generations or races or cultures. In the NY Daily News, there is a gallery of many such relationships. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t.

Justin and DeLaina Sims are a couple who are obviously deeply in love with each other. They married the day after she was no longer twice his age. He had just turned 24 the day before, and she was 46. DeLaina explains to The Inquisitr that their unconventional romance was not something she ever expected, but as their friendship grew, so did their feelings. She suspects that, like them, Steven Bauer and Lyda Loudon didn’t plan to fall in love, but they did. If anything, Justin and DeLaina are more deeply in love today than they were on that day seven years ago.

Like Steven and Lyda, there are factors that enter in that other couples don’t have to address, such as how their relationship involves the kids from the previous relationship. Steven Bauer has two. Or the possibility of being widowed early. But no one has a guarantee that this won’t happen to them, even if they marry when both are 18.

There are wonderful benefits, too. DeLaina points out that both people in such a duo gain a wonderful perspective from the other person’s generation. There is no lack of entertaining stories, because they have come from very different time periods. It can deepen each one’s appreciation for something outside themselves. And ultimately, Ms. Sims advises, like them, Steven and Lyda have to do what they believe is best and what they believe God is leading them to do, regardless of what those around them say.

That appears to be what Steven Bauer and Lyda Loudon are choosing to do. And if the photos are any indication, they are quite happy at the present.
