Katie Holmes Surfing? Actress Wants Courtney Conlogue To Teach Her How To Surf

Katie Holmes reportedly wants to take up surfing, and she may have found the perfect person to start giving her a few lessons.

Now that she’s free from the controlling grasp of Tom Cruise, Holmes is apparently ready and willing to tackle all sorts of new things. Not only is she slowly but surely reviving her stalled acting career, Katie is finding new and exciting ways to pass the time. According to People, this might involve a little surfing.

During her appearance at a cocktail party for the Association of Surfing Professionals, Katie Holmes reportedly met up with Courtney Conlogue, someone knows a thing or two about the sport. The pair hit it off rather quickly, which Holmes hopes will translate into a few surfing lessons at some point down the road.

Holmes explained:

“I hope she’s got a lot of time… and patience. If anyone’s going to get me to stand up, it’s going to be her. It’ll be really fun…. I’m not afraid at all. It’ll be exciting. I’ve always been a risk taker.”

Considering Katie was brave enough to walk down the aisle with Tom Cruise, it’s definitely safe to say that Holmes doesn’t mind taking a few risks in her personal life. Fortunately for the former Dawson’s Creek star, she was able to get away from this unhappy relationship and venture out on her own once again.

Surfing and cocktail party dresses aren’t the only thing on Katie’s mind these days. The Inquisitr previously reported that the actress, like many Ohio natives, is extremely pleased that Lebron James is coming back to Cleveland.

The actress said:

“I’ve been visiting my family in Ohio, and we’re so happy as Ohioans that LeBron [James] is coming back!. It’s a really big deal for our state, and it’s so cool of him.”
