‘The Walking Dead’ Season Five: Will Daryl And Glen Get Eaten?

The explosive new Walking Dead trailer premiered less than 24 hours ago at San Diego Comic-Con 2014, and already fans are buzzing over what happens next. And for fan favorites Daryl and Glenn, it doesn’t look good!

[Warning: Spoilers Ahead]

When we last left, Rick, Daryl, and Glen at the end of Season 4, they were trapped in a Terminus train car along with the rest of the gang. And while Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, as previously reported by The Inquisitr, has assured everyone the cast will not be spending the rest of the season there, if you watch the trailer that premiered at Comic-Con 2014 the thinking is that maybe they should!

According to Kirkman, as reported by the LA Times, Season 5 will be an extremely intense ride for the entire cast. We’ll also be seeing a Rick Grimes closer to what we saw in the comic book:

“Mega Kung-Fu Grip Rick is what we’ve had in the comics for awhile. But it’s taken a while to get there in the show.”

Actor Andrew Lincoln, who plays the part of Rick, echoed the statement when asked about his character:

“There’s something about getting my gun back and my shoes on and getting sweaty and dirty and bloody that really feels right.”

Meanwhile, the new Season 5 Walking Dead trailer has left fans pondering the fate of their favorite cast members. At one point, Glen looks to be on the cusp of getting a bat right to the head. Add to that a recent interview Robert Kirkman had with The Hollywood Reporter, insinuating that multiple main characters from The Walking Dead could meet their end in season five, and fans are on the edge of their seat awaiting the October 12 premiere on AMC.

“It’s always highly likely,” Kirkman told The Hollywood Reporter when discussing the possibility of character deaths. “Though I wouldn’t say that it’s any more likely than it ever is, but it is always extremely likely. We did pull back on the reins a little bit at the end of season four. We’re definitely going to hit the ground running for season five and we really don’t let up very quickly at all. It’s going to be a pretty fast-paced, intense season.”

Other highlights from the trailer reveals that Terminus is only one stop in the road for our Walking Dead faves. In fact, a clip shows Rick and company on the run after escaping Terminus’ deadly clutches. Kirkman confirmed this at the Walking Dead Season 5 panel at Comic-Con.
